Rosemont Elementary's holiday performance was called Cold Snap and all classes performed and our Grade 5/6 class put on a wonderful play. It was well attended, with performances at 1:00pm and 6:00pm on December 12th.

Thanks to everyone at Rosemont for sharing your holiday spirit and musical and dramatic talents with your families and with one another.

School District No. 8 (Kootenay Lake) announced the election by acclamation of a new chair and vice-chair of the Board of Education at the inaugural board meeting held in Nelson, B.C., on November 14. School Trustee Dawn Lang was elected uncontested as the new chair, moving into the role after serving one year as vice-chair.

Spring is in the air at Rosemont School! 

On May 11th students at Rosemont participated in our annual 'spring stations' event where student leaders led groups through eight fun and engaging activities. 

Students rode bikes, played basketball, four square, marbles, played with bubbles and chalk and much more!

The following school principal and vice-principal transfers and appointments for the 2023-2024 school year will come into effect on August 1, 2023:  

Principal Transfers

Principal Dawn Snell will transfer from Salmo Elementary to South Nelson Elementary.

Earth Day was a big celebration at Rosemont School!  We aligned our Earth Day messages with our Poetry month to create a 'Poetree' where all students showcased their earth poems. 

We held an outdoor assembly where we learned about the history and importance of Earth Day, sang songs and students shared their writing.
